My dad really turned me off from alcohol. I never really drunk it for fun because of him. When I started drinking socially though I regretted it every time.

I was overseas at 18 pretty much drinking whenever I went out. After a while I just said fukk that shyt because that laying down spinning feeling is hell. Throwing up is gross. And it’s mad expensive.

This...the bolded happened to me the last time I drank in Feb. It was hell for real. I also had the feeling that I needed to vomit but I couldn't...but I was afraid if I did I'd choke on my vomit. Then it took me all the next day to recover.

I said fukk it then and haven't drank since. I've been getting fukked up when I drink since I was 16....im 40 now, I'm going to give my organs a break.

Quitting was actually easy and I don't miss it.

Hard liquor is pretty much a no for me at this point.

I’ll occasionally grab a beer but wine has become my drink of choice. Gives you a nice buzz, doesn’t taste like shyt, and it’s much harder to end up with a hangover

Drinking is still cool in my early 30’s. I only do it like once a week and I don’t really keep none at the crib.

That drinking catches up with you quick. Most of the people I know that drink constantly end up completely broken and dead by 60.

I stopped after killing a 5th of Henny for my birthday like 5 years ago. No thanks after that.

I haven't had an alcoholic drink for a few years now. I only really ever enjoyed drinking to get drunk rather than being able to enjoy and savour the drinks themselves. Also once I reached a certain age the recovery from a night of drinking became difficult, It might take up to 2 days for me to be feeling 100% like myself again.

I pretty much only drink in social settings.

Never been the type to just pour up after work or when I'm chilling at the crib.
Pandemic I had bottles at the crib for months cause I didn't have nowhere to go lol.

I'm not feeling drinking alcohol anymore like I was when I was younger. I'm almost 40. I don't like Going Out to bars. I don't even like drinking at home when I'm alone.
:yeshrug:
Then again i changed a lot of things.
Gave up red meat
Gave up pork
Gave up dairy
Been eating more fruits and vegetables and more organic food.

Gotta take care of your health.

I currently have a bottle of wine that's been in my fridge for months and I don't even feel like drinking it.
:yeshrug:
that's how much I'm over alcohol. I got it as a gift.

I remember when I was in college I would be pounding shots of tequila, vodka, rum...jack and cokes back to back..getting stupid drunk to the point I would have the spins trying to sleep and then throwing up and waking up with my head on the toilet seat.
:mjlol: :snoop:

I haven't done that in ages and don't care to. It had it's time and place...not now. I'm more about taking care of myself.
