The BEST MUSIC from Africa. Ndombolo, Soukous, Rhumba. The best African Music was released between the 70's and early 2000's sonically.
The real Afrobeat sound is from Fela Kuti.
The problem with Afrobeats is that it lacks any acoustic instrumentation nor has any proper basslines to keep a person's ear engaged. Most of it's just looped beats.

No It’s just The style presented to the American audience a good chunk have a strong baseline you just won’t know because all the good stuff is usually kept in house

A lot lot of electronic genres either use MIDI programmation or they'll hire a bass guitarist. The best stuff of any genres is always raw.

The best Afrobeats artist is Wizkid. He adds complex instrumentation such as percussion, maracas, shakers, guitars and sometimes has a live band. Afrobeats is easy to make from FL Studio. Anyone with a computer make the beat but without any complex sound or music theory, it's just gonna be a generic sound loop.
There's a genre from Ivory Coast called "Coupe Decale" that's far more better than Afrobeats.

afrobeats it’s still apredominantly west African genre, what language do you think they would speak . Most of the shyt don’t sound good in English. A lot of you are really white ppl in black bodies. Again the rest of the world ain’t America my boy. There’s a reason fela kutis best songs sounds good in Yoruba and not English. That was the voice of the people.they speaking a whole other language

This is one of the most generic songs of the genre. Again you’re not really intune with the culture if you think this was the best song in afrobeats. I can literally come up with a Way better list
