and nikkas talking about the "respect the business", this the same business with no unions and when a wrestler career is over and the person is physically/mentally broken owners hit them with the :salute: and kick them out the door

This is a pretty good point. I mean the whole CM Punk fiasco should be proof that the business isn't really as romantic as some wrestlers try to make it seem.

Not to mention that the sheer amount of :mjpls: that's prevalent to this day.

And the stigma of wrestlers not working hurt because it's "best for bidness" and the "promoter is counting on you"

I liked the interview. We knew what it was with him on his first walkout. This dude admitted in the podcast several times that he didnt know what he was gonna do with his life at many points, he didnt graduate college, he barely got in to the U of M from JUCO, this dude is a farm boy meathead who only gets paid being a beastly savage.

I love wrestling but not as much as i used to because learning about the work environment, the way these people abuse their bodies and brains for a period of time just to be recognized by a group niche of people as one of the best? It aint worth it and I'm glad Brock recognizes that. If he can get paid full time to work part time, why would he put his body at risk for an extra 250 days a year just so people feel better about him dominating? :childplease:

All I know is, every time Brock is on TV, I'm entertained. And any time he has a big money match, he delivers. So I :salute: Brock for not giving a shyt about all the wrong things and treating it like a job. The WWE doesnt treat us as employees. They enjoy spitting in the consumers face a majority of the time so I wont stand up for a company and a business who has shown a lack of giving a fukk about everyone involved in it.
I think this is why we havet seen any big superstars in a while.. Those dudes now have too many options, nfl, ufc, boxing, movie star............ then wrestling. You would have to literarly grow up secluded from the rest of the world to think wrestling is your only option if you are not already a fan.. but wwe only goes after those type of guys.. What they dont realize is the super fans like punk (since yall cant stop talking about him) is the guy who really never had a chance at any sport. Those are the guys that want to wrestle now and vince doesnt want to acknowledge them more than a IC or us title run.. Although this Appolo Crews guy might be a big hit..

I mean, in the end, it's a business. Vince treats it as such 100%. But we have a problem when the wrestlers display the same attitude.

Vince has taken advantage of ppls passion and love for the 'sport' for years and years. Brock just seems to be one of the few dudes(Rock, Austin Taker, Shawn) who can get at Vince at his own game. And yeah, it was kinda annoying Brock didnt even know what his match was at WM XX.

I'm not really a fan of hearing these types of interviews tho and I don't see the point of getting to know these dudes 100% out of character.

And I don't see the point of children watching these types of interviews b/c kids want to believe wrestling is real and it should be to them.
I agree with this, I think these types of interviews should be targeted towards the older fans. I hate how everything they debut is premiered after raw, its not smart to expose the industry to these same kids you want to be life time fans.. Put these behind the scenes shows on a different day, maybe after smackdown or nxt.
Its their own fault tho

That's why I dont why TSC feel a way about Brock because he never had any ties to wrestling outside of his amateur wrestling background and they seeked him out so he took it because he didn't have any other career choices at the time and he came in and approached as a business

Like he said he's just built to perform so all the travel and politics, the tradition and everything else he could give a fukk about

Be mad at Vince for cutting these checks strapping the rocket to him

This is a great exapmle of how you shouldnt idolize these celebrities like that, shyt shaq has admtted to not really caring about the nba right now even tho he is a analyst.. shyt I dont follow sports as much as I used to but can still hold a conversation with someone who does and you would think I watch every game... It doesnt mean he doesnt or never gave a fukk about wrestling it just means he doesnt care for the type of environment this business creates. The high school bullshyt and all the politics is a turn off and he is good enough to do his job and leave it all behind.. But I could be wrong he could mean just that, I just think to be as good as he is especially in this environment you have to study or like certain aspects of wrestling to know what people want to see..

It was about what I expected. He's a strange dude dead set in his ways. Everyone knows he's just in it for the money and nothing else. Fortunately for him the 'E is in a position where they have no choice but to bend to his demands.

WWE doesn't even sell ppvs anymore for the most part. They have a choice, they choose to have Brock while he's still physically capable even with him not adding many ppv buys or ratings

WWE's future is based on the success of the WWE Network, they hired Brock to have him wrestle EXCLUSIVELY on their network

So whatever deal he's getting, he's earning every penny.

I highly doubt he's boosting 9.99 subscribers enough to cover 5 mil. It wouldn't be possible for anyone to

I find it disrespectful how Brock thinks there was no one out there credible enough to end the streak but him.

I don't see why anyone could possibly give a shyt whether he cares about the business or not. Is he good at it? Yes. So who cares?

Maybe it's because I can relate to the things he hates. Travelling sucks. I get why he hates all the non-ring stuff. He talked about it alot in his book. Shaking everyone's hand after every trip, making sure you don't miss anyone or you'll have heat? That's immature nonsense. Hard to believe grown men do this shyt.

Vince and co are notorious for being ruthless and using people. Nash has talked about this too... it's a business from their end, but as soon as you start treating it like one as a talent, it's all "where's the love man, we're family!"

It's bullshyt. Makes me kinda happy that Brock has the attitude he does, tbh

I love the actual wrestling but the culture is beyond fukked up.

Traveling sucks if you're married and bogged down...for a man who isn't? Nah...traveling is what's cracking.

What You Will Never Be.
He's doing his job. Dudes want him care more than he should. It's just not gonna happen. Deal with it. We got a lot of guys who care about the business. Bryan, Angle, Sasha Banks, Owens, etc.

Danielson: fukkED UP.

Angle: fukkED UP, alcoholic, drug addict.

People been sayin' Sasha Banks looks like a man...

Steen...I ain't gon' clown him, that real life Sandman/Raven shyt is bad enough...
