Honestly, how do you keep from spazzing out on customers and over bearing managers?
I work in tech support and it is honestly the worst job I've ever had. I lost my NOC job 7 mo. ago due to company layoff. I didn't waste anytime looking for another IT job and immediately took the position at my current job once it was offered to me. It is a great company to work for, the pay is livable (however certainly not worth the stress and work load), and the benefits are decent. The company wasted no time hiring me in there once they saw my previous work experience. Me being naive and eager to work again took this job without doing my research. The turnover rate is EXTREMELY high. They are WAY to short staff for the amount of call volume we get on a daily basis. Management is constantly over your shoulder making sure you keep up with their stupid and unrealistic metrics. They push work on you that wasn't discussed during the original job offer. I could go on and on.

After 6 months of this shyt I'm constantly in a fukked up mood and my anxiety is worse than ever. I feel a constant knot in my throat and my head feels like it could explode at any moment. I working my hardest to gt out of this bytch. Never again will I subject my self to this line of work.

Anyone have similar experiences? Please share them whether they are negative or positive. For those that have excelled at this type of work, how did you manage?

Did call center for 9 months...it got so bad that one day I clocked in, took 1 call then went on break and never came back:francis:. I would litteraly get home right after work and would be stressed tf out bcuz I would have to go back to work the very next day and endure that slave work:mjcry:. I will never work a call center again... walking out that day was the best decision Ive ever made in my life. The experience helped me get into a real IT position though :blessed:

The ONLY good part about a call center is there are always a lot of women. fukk some:yes:

No women her except an annoying ass over caffeinated white chick who brags about having the most out bound calls and highest close call ratio. I swear , I'm getting angry just thinking about this place

I thought about that my 1 month when I was literally drowning in tickets and calls. The work vot for easier over time . Now it is just the constant calls and nit picking managers who can't even schedule enough staff during our peak hours. It is absolutely ridiculous

The call center I worked at was stright, they had hella hoes in there. I worked with a lot of Caribbean females from St. Lucia and Trinidad. I used to be on the phone shooting the shyt with people asking for donations for my college, one time I was on the phone with the old school alumni bruh that was an Omega. That shyt was the funniest convo, becuase dude was telling me about all the bytches he use to fukk back in the day lol. I forgot to ask bruh if he wanted to donate to our college and my manager was like "you were on the phone with that guy for 30 mins and did not ask for some money," I was like "I forgot because dude was funny." I called bruh back and he donated like 3g's to the school.

I fukk two bytches in that call center job.

I worked at a few call centers for years. Was even a supervisor at one point. Did technical support for Sprint and AT&T Uverse and just regular customer service for MetroPCS back when they first started and were only in Miami, Atlanta, and the Bay area.

Horrible experiences! It caused me health problems including high blood pressure and stress. It motivated me to go back to school and get out of the field.

Since leaving I've been a much happier and healthy person!
