Ubi-soft doesn't have a history of downgrading games tho. The systems they was designed to be on just wasn't ready to deliever what they wanted to give out (hence why it was delayed)

I disagree with this.
I think what happens is they do a specific section
to showcase the game, then they make the rest of the content.
Far Cry 3 lost some of the detail of the original reveal, but it
kept that same spirit upon release.
As did many other ubisoft titles.
