Anyone got tips on training/discipling a German Shepherd?

Dog is 3 months. I'm kind of training him to stay, come here and shake, but this dude sometimes looks at me like

As for discipline, this dude likes to bite. Not viciously, but kind of playfully. I smack him in the mouth (not nose. Should I?) and say "no." He gets the picture and cowers away, but I give him affection after to show him I'm not being a mean fukk. My dad plays rough with him so I think it might have to do with the biting or Is he still in his teething phase?

I wanna get this dog to be loyal and smart, so any help is appreciated.

why don't you just take him to obedience school? especially while he is still pretty young?


he is going to protect his territory and master by default.

He has to know who the pack leader is. Your dad playing rough with him reverses what you taught him. Training has to be consistent.

Damn. I mean when my dad plays with him he smacks him around, but not hard. He barks at him. When I smack him it's like with minor force. Only one time he growled at me. This last time he made a crying sound.

Classical conditioning playboy. I got a husky and when he was a puppy he would bite like crazy. What I did was I got a spray bottle filled it with water and every time he bores spray him in the face eventually he is going to learn that if he bites he's gona get sprayed. And dogs hate that
