Anyone here get into the Star Wars franchise late?

Im not old enough to have seen the original ones in real time, but my dad raised me on them when I was young. Saw 1, 2, and 3 real time. Was excited for 7 until I watched it. Star Wars is now ruined and I've bushed the series, but the first 6 episodes are still dear to my heart.

Nah, I started Mandalorian and it was okay, but I was so let down by The Force Awakens I just don't even bother with Star Wars shyt anymore.


To be fair tho, I thought Kylo Ren was the faggiest villain ever, and I HATED the actor as a result. Turns out Adam Driver is pretty decent, saw him in some other shyt I really enjoyed (The Last Duel) . I may find myself checking into it again, but honestly Dune got the juice now...

Yeah they did too much with Force Awakens. I blocked that out my mind so I could enjoy the series. You gotta check out Andor. That shyt was also.

Same here, I was gonna watch it before he even said something cuz I fukk wit dude pause but I saw the reviews and decided not to. If you do watch it let me know how it was, wouldn't be the first time I'd persuaded by the brehs



Speaking of which idk if I'm tripping or not I need y'all to watch the last duel and tell me if you like it. It's cactastic madness but watching cacs savagely kill each other is always a good time in my opinion lmao

I got into Star Wars about 3 years ago after only seeing the first one and some parts of the first 3 episodes. I dont view the franchise like people who got into this as kids.

I had some dudes looking at me like a crackhead when I said after watching all 9 movies my favorite was Episode 3.

Anakin was on some real street nikka type of time in that film. Take the sci fi away and see it for what it is. They came and got HIM as a child, then when he became greater than them they held him back and hated on him on some paying dues nonsense. So not only is man’s out here frustrated and stressed but got a baby on the way. Palpatine rolled up and played him like a game of chess but at the end of the day he was doing what he thought was best for his family because the people he thought were supposed to be looking out for him and them weren’t. I don’t even know if George Lucas even knows how real of a story he told with that one.

I watched all of the movies and trilogies about 3 to 4 years ago because I heard people big uppin The Mandalorian and wanted to watch but had no idea about the story and background, I also thought I was too far behind to ever get it.

I looked up the the chronological order of the movies while watching the old trilogies back and it made sense the more I immersed into the lore/played the video games.

Here I am now a couple years later and I understand mostly everything except the Clone Wars era which I’m still tryna watch and get thru. Don’t feel discouraged if you don’t get the story right away
