I think after the World Cup, and leading to the Summer Olympics, there might be a legitimate revolution or coup down there.

Visa obstacles hurting World Cup before it starts
.

Last year I looked into going to Brazil and felt that going through a visa service was the best option. You send them everything including your passport and they deal with the consulate for you. I got the feeling that only Brazilians are in this business. I'm sure it costs a lot, but if someone is going to take off from work, travel, and stay in a hotel to get the visa themselves, it would be worth it.

Brazil doesn't even care about a visa, but they are playing tit for tat with the US since we make it so difficult for people to come to this country.

The story about the visa is that the US started charging Brazilians $160 to enter the US, so Brazil turnaround and did the same thing. However, during the WC, they have waived the fee as long as you can show proof of game tix.

I'll be down there.....going to Salvador and Rio, but will spend most of my time in Salvador. Got tickets to the Iran game because it was the only one I could buy.

I don't know why people waited so late to get a Visa. I got mine in October...think it took less than a hour to be seen and they mailed me back my passport.
