A little update after fooling around on the electric guitar for just a few minutes I find it’s way easier to play notes, chords and, finger exercises on electric compared to acoustic. I didn’t have to press down as hard on the fretboard like I did with acoustic and now I’m mad that I didn’t get an electric soon after I got an acoustic, I feel like I probably would’ve progressed a lot faster if I did. Barre chords to a lesser extent are still a bytch tho.

Yes I play..God given gift:blessed:
I used rocksmith on pc xbox to learn mostly as I would jam along to songs for hours.

My direct all time influences are
HENDRIX DA GAWD
Ritchie Blackmore(smoke on the water, deep purple)
Randy Rhoads.

I made a song last year with some guitar over a rap beat.

Guitar work starts at 40seconds if you wanna listen..it was me trying to imitate ritchie blackmore:lolbron:

guitarists of the coli - what gear do you use?

i have a MIM strat that i'm modding right now with a Callahan bridge graph-tec nut and CS69 pickups, an MIM jaguar i plan to modify after and a washburn acoustic. blues junior amp and a VOX AC4 practice amp. also got a NYC big muff fuzz, MXR Dyna-Comp and a EHX Small Clone
:steviej:

Right now I just got a Kramer floyd rose strat and I'm plugging direct into my mpc live and using onboard effects.

I'm hearing up to get a roland street cube amp or getting a rechargeable pa speaker and plugging into guitar fx pedal>pa speaker.

I did it before and it you have a good fx pedal, good speaker it works just as well an amp..I had that setup last year when I was busking .

yeah the smaller string gauge on electrics makes that a lot easier

but its always better to start on acoustic. i started on an electric and when i started learning on acoustic i was :mjcry:

Rocksmith is the GOAT. Even better if you're on PC because of the custom forge :mjpls:

I started with the Les Paul, moved to bass for my current band then picked up an 8 string Ibanez to play heavy riffs and a Bass VI to play combo rhythm guitar and bass to back my guitarist up on certain songs.

Wait until you discover the world of multieffects :banderas: I've got an HX Stomp (baby version of the Helix) and that thing is my go to for finding good tones on both instruments

My bass playing is influenced by Sevendust, Muse and Rage Against The Machine but since I started with guitar, I'm used to playing with a pick instead of finger style.

Interesting that you take influence from Randy. Are you able to play any of his work?
