I pretty much agree. I care about race but posting on the coli for a year actually kinda dulled my desired to discuss race topics. It was very refreshing at first when I first joined to read what other Black people thought on race. Now it seems so tired. There's no intelligent discussions it seems pertaining race. Everything is the White man's fault or the Black woman's fault. And if you think otherwise your character and even identity comes into question. And it's wearing me down. I'm not going to convince a White person on reddit that White supremacy exists if they don't believe it already.....and I'm not going to convince a Black person on the coli that the #inherently thing is intellectually dishonest if they don't believe it already. So what's the point?
Same here. I don't mind the race talks sometimes( I've actually learn quite a bit about history reading some of their posts ). But I feel we are doing an injustice to our people, by always talking about white people. It seems nobody really wants to talk about our issues. One thing I've learned from working with nothing but Indians is, they are a tight knit group, Yes part of that is because they never had to face the stuff our people did and they have a mostly positive culture because of it. I use to be on that "We are the world" Stuff until I started working with them ( I mean this in a positive way ). I observed how they hire each other, mostly shop at their own supermarkets, same thing with the
Mexicans, Asians and Africans out here in Montgomery County, they have a ton of little stores here. Yet in Baltimore city, on every corner there's some Asian carry out or weave/nail store near it. So how do we get there? by fixing the negative things in our culture and stop waiting for white people to do it. Things that need to go:
*The term *Real nikka* needs to go, you would think that means being yourself. but no it means fitting into somebody else expectation or view. Just look at the dumb ass threads on here questioning if posters are black or white.
* We need to acknowledge the black on black crime and stop running from it. It's not going anywhere. We talk about how white people don't like talking about race issues, yet we do the same thing with this topic.
* The real *c00ns* are the ones selling drugs within our community,robbing each other and killing each other. Not some guy who likes to stick his dikk in white girls or has white friends ( which affects nobody ).
Now maybe I have these views because I didn't grow up around white people or don't have any white friends, so if *I* want better for us. I"m going to speak on what I know and grew up around. Our present culture really needs some fixing and I say culture because I've tried time and time again to help some of my brothas out and help lead them to some type financial stability, but they had other things on their mind or wanted me to just hook them up with a career, do I like saying things like this?
Hell no, but no more sugar coating, that's what some of these so called 'Pro-blacks' do on here.Some posters are saying we need a wake up call about white people, no we need to wake up our zombie brothers to their actions. To put in better terms, you don't build a better army by ignoring it,focusing on the other army and not pointing out the weaknesses within yours..#NoRaceWar..It was the only thing I could think of.lol
Racism will always be here, we cannot control that. But we can control our actions,better ourselves through education and stop disrespecting each other...
nobody can take that from us.
