I have a list of sites where I don't post on anymore, and ones where I post on less nowadays.
These are the ones I don't post on anymore:
-Yahoo Answers (racist questions)
-World Star. Comments section is filled with spam and perhaps the most ignorant and immature posters I've ever seen online.
-Yahoo comments. Mostly anti-Obama/anti-Black/etc. comments, even on unrelated stories.
-AOL comments (same as Yahoo)
-Datehookup Forums. I came across this site about 5 years ago when I first got into online dating. I sometimes posted on their forums out of boredom, but eventually gave it up. My problem with these forums was that many of the posters here would either give dumb responses to serious threads, or they would randomly say something mean-spirited.
-Urbandictionary. The "Urban" should be taken out of its name. This site originally started off as a place for slang, but nowadays some of the most random words get included. Also sometimes, accurate definitions get Thumbs Down while inaccurate ones get Thumbs Up.
And these are the ones I still post on, but post less often:
-Democratic Underground. Many posters here claim to be progressive, but they've tried to sweep racial and other social issues under the rug in favor of economic issues. It was especially bad a few months ago when posters discussed BLM protesters disrupting a Bernie Sanders event in Seattle. They called them things such as "corporate shills", and talked about how people have "Stockholm Syndrome". Most of the remaining Black DUers (as well as feminist and gay posters) have been alert-stalked and are at risk of being unable to continue posting, while the more offensive posts frequently get left up. DU's so-called jury system is a joke.
-YouTube comments. Pretty much the only time when I scroll south on YT videos nowadays is on videos related to gaming or sports. On other videos, I can expect a person to get called a "n*gger" especially if there is a Black person featured. Also moderating on YT is virtually nonexistent.
