A MSc in biology is a waste of time. If bio, biochem, chem, etc is your game then a PhD is minimum.
facts. And worse you are treated as entry level..advice for OP..stay at your job while studying if that's possible. Couple of modules per year while earning +experience. ..win win

Not yet, still trying though. had an interview with Biogen in North Carolina. But I think i bombed it. I haven't had an interview in so long and I didn't expect them to even call me back.

I keep getting rejected for gigs. Right now I do helpdesk work and am trying to get out. Here's the problem. If i apply to technical roles at a biotec/h or even healthcare company, I'm not technical enough. Meaning sql databases, progamming, things like that. If i apply to non tehnical positions(regualatory affairs, research and development, etc) then I don't have the experience.

Yo, how can I get my foot in the door at one of these biotech companies? I keep getting rejected. I was thinking Clinical research associate. i'm honestly not sure what section of life sciences I wanna do? There are so many life science companies in Raleigh and Philly but have no clue how to even get my foot in the door. I like IT, but i only have help desk experience and a health information technology certificate. Should i do IT, Clinical Research, or something else? I need a new job immediately. I'm talking a game changer. $65 k and up. Not looking at sales, need some stability.

Sales is a transferable skill. I got more value out of sales/marketing than I ever would have out of my masters in STEM.

clinical research associate, Clinical research coordinator, regulatory affairs, application analyst. Maybe I'm applying for too many positions Im not qualified for. I am not sure I want to do IT. I mean it pays well but I don't enjoy it. But that could also be because I do help desk work so it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Honestly I just need something paying at least 65 k and up. (trying to be realistic). I would love to do research and development. Your reasons as far as freedom and more skills to learn are spot on.

Interviews I have had so far are

I interviewed for a quality and performance improvement analyst at Hennepin County Medical center.(Minnesota)

Consumer Relations Application Support Analyst- General Mills. (Minnesota)

Sr. Associate I, EHS position at Biogen. That one is in North carolina. that's where I really want to relocate to.

One of my Linkedin connects said there's high turnover working for a CRO?
Yea most will hire a lot to get watever drug they are manufacturing off the ground, which takes a lot of man hours. I worked for a cro in the Lab and some days were 18 hour days. They usually don’t pay enough to excuse that kind of time away from your actual life
