To give you a little background, a few months ago I finished that Google/Coursera UX design course. I enrolled in the course initially just as something to do, but I found that I really enjoyed doing it.

After finishing the program, I got a part time entry level position in UX design(I'm a CPA as my full time job).

What else should I learn as I continue to advance in UX design? Should I learn some coding?(HTML/CSS)

Reps for any advice :myman:

Very dope!

And, with UX, I imagine there are a lot of different areas you could look into.... off the top of my head....front end development, app development, software design...

If you want to help build websites, learning HTML and CSS to start will help. I would advise you to learn Javascript after you have a handle on HTML and CSS.

With that UX course, I imagine you dipped into UI a bit too so if you learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you could possibly find a really good job, if you stick with it.

Kudos breh and good luck on your journey :salute:

You got a portfolio? i might need some freelance work from you for my web dev company in the future.

Trying to do the ground work for my biz and do some networking now so I can hit the ground running 2022 with no excuses

Appreciate the shout man! If I'm being honest my portfolio still needs some work :pachaha:

But if you're still looking in a couple months I'll send it over

Perfect time to get into it Breh. The market is dry dry dry dry right now. I have about 20 years and hiring in the last few have been hard.

It's good to have a general understanding of HTML/CSS. Your designs are more informed that way and developers appreciate that shyt.

WE NEED MORE BREHS IN UX! If you have any UX questions or need advice let me know.

I don't use subscribe and have messages off but will pop in here time to time.
