Yeah, New year's day was the last day I drank. Was celebrating with my boys in LA, pouring up patrennessy. I anticipated 2019 being another year filled with booze.
I was drinking so much and so often, my body needed the change. I remember texting a friend that I wanted to drop drinking for a month, and he told me to stop lying to myself. I resented that sentiment, but I think that text helped me kinda get everything in motion. Decided I was gonna cut it for three months to prove a point.
I always tell people to take baby steps. I was fortunate to be able to cut alcohol completely without any issue, however I believe the habits i I started forming that first month were just as important as cutting the bottle. Drinking a gallon of water daily, making better dietary choices, and slowly building my way back up at the gym as opposed to just going hard out the gate.
Also, watch the people around you. It's easy to find people who will influence and encourage you to do bad; people who don't care about your health or life.
