I quit drinking on the regular late last year, best decision health wise I ever made. Gave up that bottle and picked up the blunt and I'm never looking back. :blessed:

Sometimes(like once every two or three months) I go grab a tall boy and babysit it with my blunt, but once you stop drinking at 29-30 trying to start drinking again is hard cause you get terrible hangovers even if you only drink like one or two beers. Aint had a beer since my birthday back in July and I aint planning on drinking anymore once my baby gets here.

I stopped drinking. It was hard for me. I was drinking every night. Going hard on the weekends. I was the person who always had a drink in their hand. Sad? Happy? Mad? Get a drink! Get home from work and sip whiskey while cooking dinner. Take shots on Friday with my friends. Everything came to a head when I acted a fool while intoxicated. This is how I stopped

1) I made a daily pledge to be sober that day. I didn’t worry about how long; just concentrated on that day. And I did the same thing every day.

2) I talked to the people closest to me. This was really hard. But I needed to open up and get their support. When I had a craving I was able to talk to my friends and family instead of drinking

3) I purged my house of alcohol and stopped going to events that centered around alcohol for awhile

Every day it gets easier. Good luck

It wasn’t really a decision; I just so happened to slow down to a crawl and stop. Reflecting on alcohol now, it’s really poison and our bodies lets us know; our taste bud too, but we guise it as an acquired tastes or mask it with sugar.

I had a stint last summer where I was eating 10 to 15 MG of THC (cannabis) edibles and it felt uplifting, a much healthier and better choice if I wanted be “intoxicated”; social anxiety subsided, tension decreased, mood elevated, and a slew of other positive things. This solidified my stance on the detriment of alcohol and increased my support of legalizing Marijuana.

Suggestion to slow or stop alcohol consumption; 1. Don’t stock it make it an inconvenience. 2. Drink alcohol Neat or On the Rocks and don’t rush finishing.
