It does add to character. This guy Whitney is breaking contracts because he doesn't want porn to be associated with the company, but he's getting pegged during one night stands.
While his friend (well, former friend now) proudly brags of his deviance, Whitney hypocritically hides his to make more money.
Would we not have known he’s a deviant POS hypocrite without that scene? Or if it was shown a different way?
My only issue with the show is that it always goes over the top with gay/deviancy in place of creativity.
