You still can’t tell if Yasmin really loves Henry or not.

Come on now. Neither of them really love each other.

But that’s not the point.


She’s his partner and wanted/expected him to play his part while she plays hers, and she was willing to help him get back on track.

Does he love her?
He was quick to put Whitney’s opinion above hers and cheat with multiple women.
You think he loves her??



The point is she’s attractive and of the right social class (essentially right beneath his); she will do. And he’s a wealthy aristocrat who could literally sweep her off her feet and save her from her troubles: he will do.

That’s about the best arrangement one could have when uniting in a marriage of convenience.

In a perfect world he would take his meds, have minor ups and downs and she would support him in that. Just as he’d be there for her in her silly delusions imagining she’s really doing shyt in his company.
They are both problematic people.

The issue is his problems can literally push him to suicide, and he won’t do the one thing that will help stabilize his mind— take the meds.
That combined with him being a wealthy aristocrat, he has never had to face accountability, could feed his indulgences and receive immediate expert care, all at a drop of a dime.

Even his uncle is fulling involved in the family-owned publication.

Henry doesn’t have anything like that because he isn’t stable and hasn’t been forced to be stable.


Now, it is Yasmin’s fault he’s tied up in this so it’s rich that she’s acting blameless; I have to rewatch the last couple episodes because, although he wasn’t ready to jump ship the moment she said she had suspicions, I still don’t understand why she couldn’t get his uncle to help get him out of the mess as well.

I’m thinking she gave up after he relapsed.

Great points. In the last bit, it was clear to her that Henry was going to be left holding the bag. There would be no way for her to have a clean break if they did it together. I’d imagine this is her essentially leaving him altogether right?

I think she cried because she realized the gravity of her decision. Henry is a morally weak, narcissistic drug addict, who’s been coddled all his life and witnessed his fathers suicide…she may have accelerated his fate. Essentially, if he dies, he dies…

Maybe I’ll break it up and watch a couple episodes Friday and Saturday. I need to fully grasp everything that has happened before the finale.
