Civil war is dope but if you like Vietnam you might find it slow because of the obvious lack of footage

Is this the first burns doc with a substantial amount of film? :jbhmm:

this white military medic that was captured by the VC is annoying af. putting on waterworks talking about being allowed to recite the national anthem by his captors. After dismissing the VC's media coverage of MLK Jr's assassination as evidence that America oppressed it's own people! Cacs are wicked creatures

Ken Burns is the GOAT of documentaries. The only thing I've ever seen wrong from him is when he wears that goofy shyt on his head.

is this from episode 5 or 6, because i havent seen those yet. Wanted to make sure i didn't miss something like this in the first four.

Just started watching this am.

Wow I like how they go into vietnams history and how it was during frances colonial rule. Their is so many comparisons you can make about what was going on back then with how the US handled that situation and how they handled Iraq and Afghanistan. Seems like we never learn our fukkin lesson.

Ken burns is The Godfather of the modern documentary he invented the techniques they teach in film schools around the world.

Ive seen so many Vietnam docs and TV specials that I skipped this one, I may check it out though :ohhh:
