why would ANY new yorker willingly choose the jets???? it's not like any of ya'll grew up in the joe namath era. ya'll grew up watching vinny testaverde, chad pennington, and mark sanchez

I was there that thanksgiving. We friggin left my family at our house to go see that bullshyt. My son was months old, wife barely understoo football and almost dropped my son who was in her arms, she was so disgusted by that play.

My nephew is a Niners fan and I made sure of it (well his parents did but I made sure he didn't get hooked onto the Jets, so those games are never aired around him)

He's 7 and he plays pee-wee football. He told me the other day "I bet my team can beat the Jets" and all I could say was "yeah."

When you stop caring about them, your quality of life actually improves. I take my mom out to Sunday lunch on Arthur Ave. I take advantage of the parks NYC has to offer. Fantasy football is the only thing that stresses me out (that and work)

How does one get hooked on The Jets? That’s like being hooked on feces.

The jets never even had a star player at the commonly star positions. Correct me if im wrong.

But Curtis martin was the only one worth mentioning for a while.

Im a born and raised new yorker and i didnt even know of the jets until i was like 13. I thought nyc only had the giants.

Nostalgia is a mutha.... But the Jets barely had any, unless you're like 70+ yo and saw Namath play...... No idea how anyone could "choose" the Jets.

I remember when the Jets drafted Ken O'Brien......over Dan Marino.... They had a little run with Richard Todd, Wesley Walker, Freeman McNeil and the Sack Exchange. No matter what they did, Jets = Mets. Both even played at Shea Stadium back then.

But....even with Phil Simms at QB, Joe Morris and later OJ Anderson, those Big Blue teams were it. LT......greatest defensive football player in history. Fun times to be a football fan.

Before the Knicks drafted Pat Ewing, Ken Bannister & Louis Orr.....smdh. Bernard King deserved better. Sugar Ray Richardson couldn't keep his nose clean....
