I thank God for the word female. I tell my female students all the time that any man who uses it to describe a woman is to be avoided at all costs, and this thread is further proof of that. Calm down, little incels. Male/female is describing the human STUDENT. Which is why I might say "my boys" or "the girls", but NEVER "the males" or "the females". I teach children, not lab rats.
