Few can honestly say they would be cool if their moms/sisters or daughters received less because of who they are or if they were just seen as sentient sex puppets by the male population.

It usually ends there. Thing is, the majority of the female population aren't going to be your moms, sisters or daughters. The argument that women around the world have it worse is kinda like cacs telling black people to shut up because we could be in mud huts if it weren't for them. Like it or not, women are not usually seen as individuals. There is still some apprehension for the most part on what a woman can or cannot be. Equality means being equally valued (on a greater scale) and also being represented in positions of power. Feminism is there to tell little girls they can be scientists and astronauts despite being distracted and bombarded by beauty supplies at a very young age. Feminism is there to tell darker skinned black women that her worth is not measured by what colorism defines. I can go on and on.

There is a huge misconception that feminism is about women gaining independence by "wearing the pants" in the relationship, being a businesswoman and a prostitute, etc. lol What feminism seeks to achieve is to grant women their individuality either by being housewives, businesswomen, nuns or prostitutes. In summary: whatever we want to be. Hell, even call yourself a non-feminist if you think you don't need feminism. Women are individuals with different mindsets that ultimately know what's best for them. Some women love traditional roles, some do not. But it is important that the housewife is still conscious that she is not inherently trapped in this role just for being a woman.

Think of it this way: White crime is "regular crime", majority white TV channels are just "regular channels", whites do NOT have to respond for the foolishness of a single white person. Example: a white guy being loud and obnoxious at a bar? No one equates it to his race. People of color have to walk around eggshells because somehow we are always lumped together.

Same shyt happens between males and females. And yes, men do often the shorter end of the stick as a lot of responsibility falls on their backs, which is why I believe that efforts should be balanced.
