Not really
As with all statistics there are outliers. But my theory is that by 30 a woman has sampled enough penises to be able to make an informed decision on sticking with one penis for the rest of her life. The same goes for guys too, probably to an even larger extent.
Oh, I thought it was because people were more mature and could make better choices when choosing a partner.![]()
Not that I'm as militant about divorce and marriage as Reincar, but I do believe in trying to be accurate and relatively factual whenever possible.
So...
http://www.npr.org/2014/02/24/282105022/older-americans-breakups-are-causing-a-graying-divorce-trend
"Back in 1990, fewer than 1 in 10 persons who got divorced was over the age of 50," says Brown. But today, "1 in 4 people getting divorced is 50 or older."
Getting married early or later...it seems the trend is that even middle-aged people are getting divorced....and it's happening more frequently.
Women have less options after 30 so they will stay married longer
I think the point is that as gray divorce increases, it probably levels out the supposed "staying power" of people who got married post-30.You may be correct, but that is 25% of the people who get divorced....
That doesn't negate that 80% of people who marry later and with education will stay together...
So you are basically talking 25% of the 20% who get divorced....
Women have less options after 30 so they will stay married longer
LOL@ reincar lurkin, he's probably searching like crazy trying to find something to prove this wrong.
beleedatMakes sense. If you're under 25 you should pursue their career or education goals, get established, then build with the one you're willing to spend the rest of your life with. People didn't have much of an option in the past but today if you sacrifice now you can eat later.
