Im just going to say this, when you hear lebron speak about basketball or anything... you know thats a smart dude... he never stepped foot in a college class but i guarantee he could have a 4.0 gpa...

now when i hear andrew wiggins speak... i feel like thats my little cousin who always needed me to help with his social studies homework.... how is he going to lead a team if hes dumb as hell.

You're also comparing a 19 year old to a veteran who's done more interviews than 99.9 people on this planet...Wiggins comes from a good family and Canadian education, when you are doing interviews at that age its very easy to get flustered and not sound like you know what the hell you're talking about. I've never heard anyone say he sounds like a dumb dude that personally knows him.

Personally I've never had another black person tell me I'm too well spoken or I sound too educated. Only non blacks have told me that :manny:

I went to school in the midwest from the North and I had black dudes all over me for how I spoke and assumed I was some scholar, the white people did that as well but I've had lots of black people make assumptions about me just because how I spoke. :yeshrug: everyones experience is different I guess

Im not gonna lie what I said there was really judgemental and ignorant... to criticize a kid like that... but its the first thing I think when I hear him speak... I'm from canada so I hope he does well I just dont think he can live up to the hype and alot of that will have to do with his basketball IQ

I'd say this pretty much covers it, maybe using more sophisticated vocabulary/syntax as well.

Not sure if derrick rose can read and anthony davis sound s like he's trying to break the record for most marbles in his mouth when he talks but I'd take both those stupid athletic phenomenons over majority of the world

My thing is they always talk about how badly a country dude like Jameis speaks, but dont say shyt about those mumbling rednecks like Brett Favre or Eli Manning and how they lack the grasp of the Queens English. I interviewed Zach Mettenberger when i was in my previous career. Dude could barely string a sentence together. But only the black qb's are held to the standard in which they have to be profound orators.

I feel you, everyone does it. We just forget how much pressure these teens can be under its hard to sound articulate. I fukking stumble in job interviews when theres more than one person there when I was at his age. Now imagine knowing everyone in north america is going to be dissecting every word he says
