Exactly my appearance is on point, I'm at the same job or school as you and yet its a surprise that I can speak well? I've literally had people gasp at me because of my vocab and manners. Unless you're doing the same time you talk to every white person shyts offensive.

being well spoken has nothing to do with somebody's potential to get a 4.0. anybody can perform well in a classroom if they dedicated themselves. some of these dudes out here who talk like snoop from the wire can destroy you in a classroom. speaking well is a decision...has nothing to do with somebody's overall intelligence or even potential intelligence.

My thing is they always talk about how badly a country dude like Jameis speaks, but dont say shyt about those mumbling rednecks like Brett Favre or Eli Manning and how they lack the grasp of the Queens English. I interviewed Zach Mettenberger when i was in my previous career. Dude could barely string a sentence together. But only the black qb's are held to the standard in which they have to be profound orators.

You're so right, my brother speaks with a slow southern drawl, and people assume he's not that smart. And, when they find out he's very intelligent, he always tells them I may speak slow, but I think 2 steps ahead of you, and besides I'm not in a rush.

Im basing that not only on his interviews but watching nearly half of his games as they were all televised on canadian tv... he drifts around on offense... and rarely looks like he knows what he is supposed to be doing.... and this is in college... now imagine that in the nba... hes a teenager tho i realize that..

And just a heads up i look at myself in the mirror every day and i rarely like what i see lol.

were talking about two different things completely... i think your equating speaking well to using proper english.... and i guess thats a common interpretation

I'm a smart dude but if you put a bunch of cameras and spot light in front of me at 18-21 I would be stumbling over every word nervous as shyt. I hate when they interview these kids and there like uh umm can't get a good thought out. They not use to having to talk to make cacs comfortable.
