I finally decided on getting a 512 GB Pro. It’s more storage space than I’ll realistically ever need, but I’ve been nickel and diming downloads on my 64 gig iPhone 8 for over a year and I never want to deal with that again.
I'm personally waiting for it to hit $50HomePod mini reviews looking kinda meh. I’ll stick with the originals.
So does this new chip mean they're gonna have to change a lot of their lineup? Cuz wtf is the difference between an ipad, a macbook air and a macbook pro 13??

Nothing really changed
iPad is still a lot more portable that the notebooks. Plus you have the Magic Keyboard option if you feel like you need a "Macbook", and it's still remains the best tablet on the market.
MBA is more of a web browsing and light work machine. Entry level Apple laptop aimed at the casual user with much better battery life and performance compared to anything in that price range.
The difference between MBA and MBP even though they both use the same chip? MBP has active cooling allowing them to keep the M1 at higher sustained clock speeds for more demanding workloads. Aimed at the Developers/Content Crreators/Producers.
It all depends on your workflow.
Waiting for 1st/2nd quarter next year for that 14" with the M1X, 4 TB ports and 32GB memory option.
ipad pro with the magical keyboard is essentially a laptop to keep it all the way funky here.
1 more day![]()
12 pro max tomorrow![]()

Nah... each device dominates its own segment. The new chip allows them to dominate these segments even more by offering more performance and a huge increase in battery life. 2 of the main selling points of notebooks. They do this without a price increase while increasing their profit margins as they no longer have to pay intel absurd amounts of money for their chips, while their competitors in these segments are still at intel’s/AMD’s mercy. Them collapsing any of these segments would be leaving money on the table. Apple doesn’t play that. The chip kinda minized the gap between these devices tho hasn't it? Especially with the air and pro. Wouldn't be suprised if they just get rid of some of them. Maybe upgrade the the ipad pro and macbook air and drop the 13" macbook
geez
The reviewer in the 12 pro video for theverge.com took a minute to shyt on 5G in the United States lol dude said we rank like last out of all developed nations that offer 5G. Speeds are absolute dogshyt for what they actually could be.5G on my pro batterygeez
