The cat on bloomberg news said tidal was struggling and that apples interest was a blow to jimmy iovine because it proved he couldn't lure away the biggest artist becausemof their loyalty to jay. So this is either a loss for tidal or a loss for apple. Which spin do u believe?
:patrice: Idk and call ducktales on Apple not being able to lure big artists. Outside of Bey, Rih, Madonna and Kanye, who's worth a damn at Tidal? I think Apple would rather kill the arms race and not pay people more than they are worth so they won't go to Tidal. Tidal can't have money thus them simply offering artists equity.

Bey, Rih, Madonna, and Kanye get alot of streams. Not just that, but Tidal was offering first dibs to concerts via Tidal for these top grossing artists. Silently Tidal has been good to consumers by throwing in all the little extras that Apple and Spotify don't want to waste their time on. This is simply a play to kill any competition. Jay's leverage is Roc Nation which manages top artists thus he had the leverage to get the exclusives on Tidal. It probably isn't enough to become the leader in streaming, but it's enough to be an annoyance to Apple who wants to be seen as the only platform to get the "latest and greatest".

Coldplay, daft punk, jack white, arcade fire. Lol these aren't nobodies.

Plus jay intimated on the all the way up remix

I'm in a room where real nukkas aren't allowed
I'm the only one in the room that they fear right now
I think they clear right now

I assumed he was talking about the industry higher ups given what the song was about.

Also I read on another forum from a trusted insider ( i know, but apparently ths person had all the predictors about beyonces album leading up to its release correct)that Doug morris had to hustle Tidal for 2 months just to get Beyonce Sorry video on Vevo. If all this is accurate and its a big if, then you have to say Tidal is in a position of strength no?

i said outside of them, kind sir.

I made similar points in my thread. However, those little exclusives concerts and shyt is going to get expensive if Apple goes the inverse dumping route, think Premier Boxing Champions. They start paying artists more than they are worth (Apple doesn't really want to) and cause Tidal to have to do the same by raising the equilibrium. Tidal can't afford it and equity in Tidal isn't worth shyt and there are rumors that tidal is even pay the artists. Plus, that lawsuit from Birdman is still lingering.

Apple isn't making a play for them. Those people are anticool. They messed with U2 album. Those crackers don't fear Shawn. Remember when Drake performed with Lil Wayne and they suspended the broadcast out of legality? They referred to Apple as big brother. What type of gangsta shyt is that?

Beyonce works for Sony but she's their biggest artist so it's a relationship thing. Doug Morris threw them a lifeline because Tidal doesn't or didn't have the funds to cover the licensing fees for Sony music that includes Beyoncé's catalog.

if it happens it's Hov doing what he does best...making money.

Jay's people always know when to get him out of something at the right time
could be reaching but maybe they see something coming and getting rid is the best thing for Jay.

what will happen to his cousin in Nigeria though ?
