Hope Jay-Z nets a nice profit out of this, but TBH he should have never entered this music streaming space to begin with. The margins per track are so slim with everyone shifting to wanting music for free and not paying a monthly fee.

Not really fam. Support black business to circulate the black dollar amongst black people. Not to get one dude rich, but to enrich the black economy.
The deal doesn't seem to be real anyway, and even if it is, nobody has any solid details. Who knows, Hov might throw some clauses in there that help his people.

I've got both Tidal and Apple Music so it's whatever to me 
Jay Z want's to exit his investment in Tidal. I highly doubt he will come up like Dr. Dre and Jimmy did. Tidal is burning money and are operating at a LOSS. Not to mention, Apple has MAXIMUM leverage over Tidal because Samsung walked away from talks with Tidal after seeing the numbers. If anything, this is good for Jay-Z since he will be able to exit his stake. Tidal's brand is nowhere near as strong as Beats by Dre was. Simply put, Apple wants Tidal for the exclusives.

Can someone break down how tidal is different from other streams??? I've been rocking with spotify from the jump so I never hopped over, but it seems like the same formula no way artists are actually getting paid significantly more
