"It just works" on an Android tablet...I think that was the whole point of the comment:

using instagram with a tablet is just weak, and if you really want to browse pics go on their website and do it

Ok so you were going off about the iPad app ecosystem, he gave a real life example of when that ecosystem fails; and rather than say "damn you got me", you instead suggest opening up safari and going to the site? And with all the talk about Native app vs HTML5 performance, is that the best solution? Sounds about as hacky as having to hide unwanted apps in folders on homescreens.

I love Apple products, but they have been recycling the same damn press conference for how many years now?

It finally hit me today how predictable and repetitive that sh*t has gotten.

1. Show video of recent product launch - time-lapse video of lemmings going in and out of apple stores.
2. Introduce updated product...say it is biggest innovation since original product
3. Show David Pogue and/or Walt Mossberg quote praising said product
5. Play video of white men in white room ejaculating on new white product.
6. Thank everyone for coming...introduce :flabbynsick: musician to play some songs

Rinse and repeat...

They've always been like this. What set then apart was Steve Jobs showmanship and dynamic stage presence. Dude LOVED being onstage and you could tell. It's almost the exact opposite with Tim Cook dude sounds like a higher pitched version of the guy who does the clear eyes commercials. Phill Schiller brings enthusiasm but NO swagger whatsoever and Johny Ive sounds like he's about to Knight the entire crowd...

It's true, apple conferences haven't been as exciting since Steve jobs died, but the hype and buzz around each conference gets bigger and bigger

As someone who doesn't have an iPad or iPad Mini yet, I think this is my time to get in.

I'm going with the Mini.

I'm going with the Mini.

That's a good choice. I bought my bro an ipad 2 when they first came out and his is still going strong. I loved using it during exams to study.

I'm a law student. So at the beginning of this year I was in best buy and was playing around the ipad 4. I saw kids and girls crowding around the mini. I thought it was gay as hell. Until I picked it up. Dawg, I'm not kidding when I say I save 1,200 on books because of this thing. I have two apps. A scanner app to scan pages and turn into PDF and upad to annotate the PDFs. I literally go to the library pull out the textbook for my class and scan the assignment every other day. And I ain't gotta worry about the terrible resale value of books at the end of the semester. :wow: As you can tell I love the mini.

Once I used the mini I realized how amazing and versatile it is. I'm using it primarily for studying, readying articles, and entertainment. I truly think the mini is the better buy.

You're right, this is the time to jump on the new mini. I wish mine had retina display.
