That's a good choice. I bought my bro an ipad 2 when they first came out and his is still going strong. I loved using it during exams to study.

I'm a law student. So at the beginning of this year I was in best buy and was playing around the ipad 4. I saw kids and girls crowding around the mini. I thought it was gay as hell. Until I picked it up. Dawg, I'm not kidding when I say I save 1,200 on books because of this thing. I have two apps. A scanner app to scan pages and turn into PDF and upad to annotate the PDFs. I literally go to the library pull out the textbook for my class and scan the assignment every other day. And I ain't gotta worry about the terrible resale value of books at the end of the semester. :wow: As you can tell I love the mini.

Once I used the mini I realized how amazing and versatile it is. I'm using it primarily for studying, readying articles, and entertainment. I truly think the mini is the better buy.

You're right, this is the time to jump on the new mini. I wish mine had retina display.

:ehh: Thanks for the info.

I was all in to get the first Mini but I resisted the urge knowing damn well it was a cash-grab before the real one dropped (with Retina)

Hopefully I can find some dope writing apps, throw some comic books and novels on it and start reading again (I haven't read a book in years lol)

Thats cool breh, but literally any tablet can do exactly what your saying. All the mobile ecosystems have scanning software breh, even the surface RT.

Yes, but not every tablet can easily connect to my mac. I've used android tablets and they are cool. But moving items and organization are very difficult via mac. That was the major reason behind it.
