These are workstations for professionals. These prices are perfectly in line with what we're used to spending. This product isn't for regular folks browsing the coli and checking email. Folks are going to be making Pixar movies on these things

P.S. They don't include the stand because you also have the option of a vesa mount for only $200 which gives you a lot more flexibility if you do prefer a custom mounting solution.
