Ternus has just announced the new MacBook Neo and we're watching a video detail its features now. It has a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, for instance.

It has a multi-touch trackpad and some kind of Signature keyboard. There's TouchID support via a sensor on the top right of the keyboard as well. Along the left edge are two USB-C ports and a headphone jack.

The webcam is 1080p, and there are side-firing speakers that support spatial audio with Dolby Atmos, too. "Neo comes in four colors: silver, indigo, blush and this fresh new citrus." The keyboards are color-coordinated too. MacBook Neo is, as the rumors suggested, powered by A18 Pro. This means it will "wake fast and launch apps quickly."

"Best of all, Neo works like magic with your iPhone," per the video. It's not surprising — this is how iPhones and Macs work. That about sums up the new MacBook Neo's specs and the video is ending. The big deal though, is the price: $599.

Near 700 USD for:

13' screen
8 GB RAM
256 GB SSD, you want more features need the 512 GB SSD model
A18 6 core processor

Might be decent for students, but otherwise :martin: gone get the 13' macbook air for 550 extra bucks

You tell the sheep they can get a MacBook for 600 bucks and they'll cream themselves. They won't be able to keep them in stock.

It’s actually not a bad deal tbh. It’s actually comparable to m1 or maybe m2 chip in terms of speed. 8gigs of ram is not great but Mac OS X has some of the best optimization out there. It would be just fine for students & casuals crowd. The HD space is trash tho but that’s literally all Apple devices if you wanna keep it a buck. 1TB should be standard in all devices at this point but they’ll never do that if they can charge you another $500 to expand it to a basic level.
