The fact is, most people aren't doing anything of what you just said. We are talking about tens of millions of all sorts of phones being sold every single year. Trust me, THE COMMON MAN, is not constantly backing up a damn thing, transferring this and that to their computer, paying for and uploading to the cloud, etc etc etc


How many times have you heard "Damn I need to clear some stuff out my phone first?" People in here talking about putting entire HD movies on their phone. You ever hear someone lose or drop their phone? 7 times out of 10, what do they say??? "OMG nnooooooooooooooo. I lost all my pics and everything." It's never "hey it's all good, it's all on the laptop"


Speaking of laptops and computers... Everything I can do on a phone, I can do on a $300 laptop or computer... But people don't have those unless they have a direct need for another computer. Again... Not coli members, regular ass people you see working at Wawa, but also have an iphone. Every college student and kid with one. Not even iphone... Everyone with a damn phone. How many have actual laptops and computers? Not tablets? How many doing incremental backups? I could ask a nikka to send me a pic he took in 2016, I bet it's still in his camera roll


We often talk on this forum like we are the common man... We are not. How many friends you know even on an old school message board, not named Reddit? Why you think everybody got an app for something. Cause nikkas ain't using computers like that on a daily basis. You think anybody 45 and up is backing up their phone? Does your grandma back up her phone?







Now if you want to ask me personally... I take professional pics and vids and drone footage. I might shoot something on my camera camera for 10 mins that's 2.3 gigs alone. And I need it readily available at all times for email, uploads, sharing on sites, whatever, to push my brand. I don't have time, nor bandwidth, to be downloading 10 gigs of shyt on the daily, to delete it, and put it back. I'm definitely not walking around with multiple cards...

Amazon for 1 tb of cloud is 11.99 a month.. apple is 2 tb for $10... Either way... I'm not paying that shyt. Cause I actually do have a computer.. and a laptop.. With 5 drives between them.. But that shyt cost money too. And I still need the shyt on my phone..

Now imagine somebody who don't have that shyt. Their storage is DONE... and what do people actually pay for? Ease of access.. fukk it, get the phone, got 512 gigs, never run out of space, call it a day.

Aight I'll dap cuz sadly the avg person only cares about ease of access. So they'll pay way more for that peace of mind.

Buuut for guys like me fuk that. Drag and drop huge gigabytes of pics and videos into hard drive takes like 2 min max. And I'll only have to do it like once every 3-4 months. So if my phone breaks I'm not even stressing.

If it's like that then whoever releases the terabyte phone aka Samsung is gonna kill. Of course when Apple releases it'll be like a mortgage payment with multiple fico scores needed to apply

If you plan to have your phone for more than 2 years, 256GB and up is the only way to go. I have an iPhone X 256GB and I only have 80GB left after close to two years. While I haven’t been doing anything major with it, I can see why if you even make a hobby out of filming, photography, or just general storage on your phone, 256 GB is necessary.

Like, that’s the amount of space left from holding 12K songs, 2.3K photos, 1.1K videos and 155 apps

Only thing I need to get control of is my iCloud, seems like I got two different accounts...

64GB is like 16 pictures and 7 songs

I got 32gb on my Android. I barley have 2gb. Even if I had 64gb it'd probably be that bad too. 100+gb is definitely a must.
