I have an 256gb iPhone and I not even at 25% capacity, I stream my music don’t download videos unless it’s a quick edit I need to make and most of my pictures are on a separate HD

A lot of non-business minded folks in here. First off... Apple moves millions of these units. That's a major hit to their profit margins adding the additional storage. Second. There are frequent shortages in flash memory ALL THE TIME. Any delays in production are just a further hit to Apple's bottom line. 256GB wafers can be yielded with great efficiency by fabricators.

It's only for profit and that's it; just like Apple care. Great business model to charge customers 200-1000 dollars for what other brands provide for free or cost at most forth of apple standard.
All my apple products are funded through my company expenses but would I buy one out of pocket for something that can potential be broken out the gate, nah.

They are all running game on their users. Samsung is out here making better products for their competitors than their own phones.
