whats the best website. Been using indeed for a month and got nothing. Do those websites really work?
iv done at least 100 :beli:.

Online applications do not work. I'm going to keep it real with you. I have had the same struggle once I graduated. Online does not work plus my girl used to work for HR at a company. She told me they only look at resumes that have been referred internally most of the time. Best way is to contact the hiring manager of the company and contact them directly whether by phone and email and basically sell your self to him or her after submitting an online application. Or use your network. The days of getting jobs through online applications are practically dead. Some companies use the ATS system (Application Tracking Systems) which matches certain key words to your CV, even if you are qualified for the job but can't match those keywords, you don't make it through.

Applying online is the easiest thing you can do while looking for a job so that means TONS of other people are doing the same thing of attaching the CV and clicking "submit" which means it lessens your chances at getting an interview. So what you have to do is go the extra mile which means tracking down people in your network, alumni from your school who know people in your field, classmates, teachers, family members etc...

I'm not using INDEED anymore, I don't think companies even see the resumes. Sent 12 in the last week and only got 1 "was seen" email
I was told going to the company face to face is better most times. wish u well, my brother was looking for year and more for job and graduate university before that so he was down for it a bit but now has one and he says his recent is the worst one yet but pays the best :/
thats when I knew it was good I dropout from it after only month but still sad not haveing memories like him

What do your resumes look like? How's your cover letter?

I use Indeed, LinkedIn, The Muse, and Glassdoor.

coverletters kinda went the way of the dodo bird.

folks don't use them that much these days. I know I don't waste my time with them.

however having a network and knowing people in the field trumps all.

Is The Cover Letter Finally Dead?
