They won't let me rep you but this is the answer.

Whenever black people do something extra c00nish or self hatey just remember a simple fact; from the time we are born we are conditioned into believing we aren't shyt. We are taught to hate ourselves and think less of the black experience. Everything you see that makes you :snoop: at our people ALWAYS goes directly back to that.

It's important to keep things simple when asking "why" and focus all the complicated details on solving the issues.

The answer to solving the issue is pretty simple, but black people don't want to hear it. Separate from among cacs and do for ourselves. I've been listening to videos of Leo Muhammad from the NOI and he's saying a lot of real ass shyt about us finally separating from white people. But our people love cacs so much that we'd never leave them.

hear it alot from asian women and white men. one of my coworkers when i was teaching english said he didnt date white women cause it reminded him of fukking his cousin or something. :bryantshrug:

Probably true, then. I saw an Asian guy write the same thing. That's completely different from the POF girl.

before yall get all haywire lets not act like there arent white bytches that say they only date black guys

Those white bytches haven't been systematically taught to hate themselves though. We on the other hand have been taught for the last 400 years to specifically hate ourselves and love our enemy.

I'm not talking about households. I was referring to the media and how society portrays and views us in general. Households with good parents, positive black environments outside of home and/or self education are the only antidotes. My mom played a big role in being mine.

i agree but who's fault is it?

i hate to be an ol "if i can do it you can do it ass nikka" but why dont you and I hate ourselves? Truth be told I was made fun of for being a #midnightboy growing up more by African and Carribean friends than I was by white people. I grew up seeing the same shyt on TV / in the media that everybody else did, my brother seemed to like light skins > blacks and I have a vivid memory of calling him out on that bs when I was still in elementary school.

Why is it that I'm still arrogant when it comes to my appearance and wouldnt trade my darkskin for anything else. Too much pride for this kinda fukkery

Some people are just weak minded I think and susceptible to brainwash. Tends to be the same people I see all religious and shyt that have this sort of complex. Go figure.

nah man growing up I watched the cosbys and fresh prince, I seriously have no idea what youre talking about. my black teachers were telling us all about HBCU and we learned about black inventors, CEOs and all that all throughout elementary. I went to Baldwin Hills Elementary, probably the best school for any young black child. Well funded, with teachers that give a fukk.....and its a public school. On the contrary I grew up thinking I was superior and all the other shyt that was happening to us was a form of hating, kinda like what goes on with the jews.

:salute:I have called out that colorism so many times in real life mostly black women. I don't play with the shadeism...you're really attractive, they were just hating.
My mom.is lighter than me and wishes she had my skin tone. I think black people are beautiful light to dark:birdman:

Word. Are you of the mind set that we should leave America? feel we are as entitled to this land as anyone since our ancestors built the shyt and we still shape society in a major way from music to fashion to slang to sexuality to comedy. I don't want to feel like we have no future here. nikkas just gotta wake up.

It was somewhat unnecessary to address the few who claimed that "technically she's wrong", and stupid so I'll give yout that. I am full agreement that she's a damaged person. I feel sorry for her more than anything. Only wiggle room is that she kept the conversation on "preferences", and didnt say anything particularly offensive. But her whole attitude sucks.

Word. To me when people use the words "it's just my preference" to answer why they don't like their own it's usually because they know explaining why would make them sound like a clown or their subconscious won't allow them to address the truth of the matter.

White supremacy is mainly at fault since they're the ones not only promoting how incredible they are, but lying about how horrible we are.

On the other hand we (black people) are at fault because we're not effectively teaching our children what they need to know and learn about themselves. The reason I don't hate myself is because growing up my pops made sure to always remind me who I am, my history, and who my enemy is. Our main issue is that we still allow ourselves to be taught by our enemy.

Here's a short video by Leo Muhammad talking about the problem:

You were enormously blessed growing up. Good for you. No sarcasm for the record.
