Your feelings on it are pretty irrelevant as well. You're no one to her, I'm no one to her. Our opinions are just that.

Personally, I can't understand how someone would rule out an entire race, whether your own or not, when it comes to dating. But, just because I don't agree with it doesn't mean anything to the person involved.

The fact is, this woman views things from a different perspective and if you want to "shed some light" as to why she shouldn't, then shaming her and calling her names only perpetuates her feelings and dislike. People have to set an example and be an example of what they want to represent.

My opinion on this is relevant because its an issue that directly affects my people. Your opinion carries no weight because there is no way you can relate. You're white. Refer to post #1 I made towards you. Nothing else needed to be said after that. The issue doesn't plague your culture or community. Understand your privilege and how it molds your views on how you would feel about these things. Our lack thereof molds ours. We are speaking from different worlds.

I literally care more about the color of my dried snot crust in my nose when I wake up in the morning than I do about the opinion of white people on matters like this. The whole reason black people like that girl feel this way is because of your people. The virus can't be the cure, so miss me with your bullshyt.

Then feel free to stop quoting me if you don't care about my opinion.

At the beginning of mean streets
She's an idiot. And people that favor whites under the guise of not seeing race/nationality/ethnicity, are entirely stupid, because it's never the other way around. You'll never hear about someone saying they favor blacks and envision a black only society to live in, because obviously that would disrupt the white power structure and white supremacy as a whole. It's so transparent.

The operative word is if. You tell the average black person that and you'll be looked at as insane. shyt even in the group I work (whose goal is to benefit the black community) you got people that want to allow whites to join and want to take "black" out of our groups name. Whether it's the cats that's still asleep or the so called conscious cats, very few of us want to actually separate from whites. I know I'm in the very small minority when it comes to that belief system and that's why I can't see a future in America.

There was a thread on here a while back talking about group economics and you got dudes who were arguing about the simplicity of spending your money with other black people.

I think the most realistic option is to mimic what other groups do. I hate looking at another group and admitting they do something better than us, but asians, jews, indians all support themselves better than us. If we can somehow get more black businesses going, and convince black people to support those businesses first instead of white corporations, that would go a long way.

nikkas have Stockholm syndrome, so if you leave you'd have to leave on your own.

Hug me don't reject me.
I'm not rejecting, but if you don't want my opinion then you shouldn't engage with me on this topic. I'm not the one telling you I don't care about what you have to say... I just said that neither of our opinions will affect her.

I don't agree with her rejecting an entire race, especially her own. And, I'm not implying that you should.

My point is that she feels how she feels for a reason (and it may be a stupid reason, you might understand why it perpetuates a bigger problem, etc...that doesn't mean that she looks at things the same way...you can see the bigger picture, she can't). You're assuming that because she is black, she will automatically think how you think and because she doesn't, people are shunning her and calling her names. That's not doing any justice...you don't like her mindset (I can understand why...not saying I think she's right...just that she's her own person and she'll do what she feels is best for her), so in turn, you're projecting your dislike for her and that's why I said it is counter productive.

Yeah, but your point basically comes down to "let her just be"

And his point comes down to "just letting her be is what helps to perpetuate and let the problemn (as he views it) grow"

You're both right.
And you're both wrong.

I like 63% of this post. The part about me being right and what "just letting her be" means to me.

1st Round Playoff Exits
If we separated ourselves and put all our money into our community, black people would develop economic power, which is real power. That would scare the shyt out of white people, because that's really been their fear all along, for black people to get on equal footing with them.
First you need cats to actually matriculate through advanced higher learning....

How many brehs were in your advanced science and math classes.....

Remember all the of cats you see, will be a direct reflection of the future, because those are future doctors, scientist, engineers etc.....

shyt is a numbers game, there's needs to push away from sports and into academics, because the numbers just aren't there. Not everyone will go on to the professional level of sports, which is very cut throat within itself, but through hardwork, some one can essentially become an engineer or the like in a very rewarding career...

What else is there to do? You can't force your beliefs onto someone. My point is to worry less about others and lead by your example.

Again, the keyword is if. If we can convince black people to start working together we have a shot. Personally there's not enough of us who have the goal if pushing the importance of black business ownership. Even within the group I work with there's still the idea that black people working among ourselves is somehow racist.

Until we somehow come up with a way to get rid of that Stockholm syndrome, we'll stay stuck in the condition that we're in. Personally I'm going to stick to my own personal goal. Start and grow my business, hire black men and women, donate money to causes that benefit the my people, and work on attaining political power.

We don't need careers. We need black people to get educated to come back and start businesses. Having our best and brightest go out and work for white organizations doesn't benefit us.
