i agree but who's fault is it?
i hate to be an ol "if i can do it you can do it ass nikka" but why dont you and I hate ourselves? Truth be told I was made fun of for being a #midnightboy growing up more by African and Carribean friends than I was by white people. I grew up seeing the same shyt on TV / in the media that everybody else did, my brother seemed to like light skins > blacks and I have a vivid memory of calling him out on that bs when I was still in elementary school.
Why is it that I'm still arrogant when it comes to my appearance and wouldnt trade my darkskin for anything else. Too much pride for this kinda fukkery
Some people are just weak minded I think and susceptible to brainwash. Tends to be the same people I see all religious and shyt that have this sort of complex. Go figure.
Regarding bold whats wrong with "if I can do you can do it"? Esp when people are from similar environments. That's always been a problem to me because some dudes want to hold on to their crutches but don't have no ailments.
QUOTE="Serious, post: 10904896, member: 78"]First you need cats to actually matriculate through advanced higher learning....
How many brehs were in your advanced science and math classes.....
Remember all the of cats you see, will be a direct reflection of the future, because those are future doctors, scientist, engineers etc.....
shyt is a numbers game, there's needs to push away from sports and into academics, because the numbers just aren't there. Not everyone will go on to the professional level of sports, which is very cut throat within itself, but through hardwork, some one can essentially become an engineer or the like in a very rewarding career...[/QUOTE]We could use more doctors and the like but if you are talented enough no need to give up your dream though. I see that also when some people are just that deal.
Again, the keyword is if. If we can convince black people to start working together we have a shot. Personally there's not enough of us who have the goal if pushing the importance of black business ownership. Even within the group I work with there's still the idea that black people working among ourselves is somehow racist.
Until we somehow come up with a way to get rid of that Stockholm syndrome, we'll stay stuck in the condition that we're in. Personally I'm going to stick to my own personal goal. Start and grow my business, hire black men and women, donate money to causes that benefit the my people, and work on attaining political power.
Black people work together everyday so we already have that. Most don't have that goal but you so you show them how its done then pump it. You can't control nothing but what you do and show people through the work you do what can be possible. I don't know why people continue to speak on others when they themselves aren't an example of what they trying to push. Its just more credible that way period.
We don't need careers. We need black people to get educated to come back and start businesses. Having our best and brightest go out and work for white organizations doesn't benefit us.
We need all kinds of things because everybody can't be a boss with a business.
