a couple of things...

1. i know you ain't gon front on aquemini like that. seriously, bruh. that album can hang with only built. i'm tired of nikkas not givin' us (the south) are due. big and dre proved they could go toe to toe with ANY in the south AND outside of the south with that album along with atliens, stankonia and southernplayasticadillacmuzik

2. those 8 minutes of MUSIC for the HEART, MIND and SOUL go back to the days of when parliament funkadelic and issac hayes use to have those long soulful and funky songs. those are like jam sessions. kast learned from old school cats like george clinton, sly stone, jimi hendrix, prince and isaac hayes with that :wow:

those 8 minute jams shyt on most nikkas' careers in hip hop

cappadonna? won't that nikka drivin' a cab a few years back? nuff said :mjlol:

i still see the east coast bias on here but it's all good, real nikkas know what's up :yeshrug:

kids say the darnest things :shaq2:

South? :patrice:

In the early 2000s I went to college and had some freinds from virginia. I'm talking va beach, hampton, norfolk, and newport news.

Y'all always seemed like some east coast cats to me :patrice:. I mean the nikkas that I knew from those parts blended right into philly, baltimore, and dc with ease :jawalrus:

@stomachlines you my man's 100 grand but you know you was raised on that east coast shyt :lolbron:.

Are you really gonna try and tell me that allen iverson was a down south nikka :usure:

va is the south
va is different from the carolinas, kentucky, ga, new orleans, texas, etc etc obviously because we close to the north like maryland, jersey, pa, new york
especially the close you get to northen va, like arlington and all of that. northern va is kinda like night and day to norfolk, richmond, suffolk, etc etc
but we still the south. va is a confederate state :scust: and the capital of confederacy :snoop:
but again, we still the south
i know a lot of people don't think we are, but we are
i think some of us seemed kinda east coast because at the time, esp if you refer back to the 90's everybody and they mama wanted to claim east
i grew up in the 90's when nobody wanted to claim no parts of va and was always on some "i from new york by way of my grandma" type shyt :mjlol:
nobody wanted to say, "i'm from va". to be honest, timbaland, missy and then timbaland and the neptunes and the clipse made it a bit more cooler
timbaland will tell you straight up, he a country nikka :russ:
it's different here cause we ain't the "dirty south" but we still southern and i know plenty of people from further down south (my great aunt from new orleans, r.i.p.) who don't view va as "the south" because it ain't ga, it ain't new orleans, it ain't texas, it ain't memphis or the carolinas etc etc

and yeah, you know i came up on east coast hip hop primarily because when i was young that's what was gettin' the most play BUT i got an older sister who was a huge music head like me, and she always listened to EVERYTHING and at the time, we was more west coast fans then we were east coast. everythin' west coast we LOVED! but we always kept an open ear to it ALL. i guess we got that from my mom and dad too though

allen iverson is a down south nikka to me

that's not true...the reason that track happened is because there was a 'misunderstanding' between wu and dungeon family, so they did this track to smooth things over....the 'misunderstanding' was rza running his mouth about what he considered 'real' hiphop, what he respected, etc...and kast, dungeon family, the south in general wasnt it....so, goodie mob responded first with the lead track off the 2nd album....cee-lo was talking about/to rza: 'i thought you said you was the g.o.d., sound like another nikka to me'....also, you have to remember this was after kast got boo'd at the source awards in 95 for winning best new artist, so they were a lil sensitive to any type of slight and ready to go at it with whomever....it's the reason dre's speech from said awards ends the album..... anyway, cooler heads prevailed and linked them up to stop anything from further happening....
