Philly rappers have problems with these diss records because the flow is A1 but the content just isn't there. So their disses sound cool, but they come and go. We had a whole era of Philly beef freestyles, and if you break those videos down we only get a couple really great lines out of each 3-4 minute freestyle. And those are the "classics". For them it's all about flow, conviction & intensity but you can't win a battle on record like that.

The best man for the job is already involved in the beef (Beanie Sigel), all these other Philly dudes can fall back. I don't care what you say about Beans health or whatever... when I listen to "Average Cat" I still get chills. Even though I don't even agree with Beans stance on a lot of the things he said on the record, I felt it in my chest.

lol. theres plenty of dudes in philly that could take beans in a battle. even in his prime.

hes just a safe go-to name for yall on here. yall don't even know what yall be talking about.

beans not even the best battle rapper from state property.

I said top 20 most memorable.

We all know State Prop on Hot 97 is way above the Katt Williams diss

We know Beans Jada diss is above Katt Williams

We know Beans Jay-Z diss is above Katt Williams

Personally I have the freestyle of Cassidy dissing Mook & Cyserro on Smack DVD up there...

But you need like 15 more :russ:, let me hear something... you're going to post a bunch of old freestyles with fire flows and 3 or 4 hot lines

What city has 20 memorable disses though, point is nobody remembered that Katt Williams diss til u just now bought it up:heh:

And is cat williams even from Philly:dahell:?

I feel like we've been down this road before... stop rambling, put up or shut up. Someone in State Prop made better battle rap songs than Beans? Then why didn't you say their name? That's weirdo shyt, you're scared to put your opinion out there to be criticized.

Post those links up of these fire battle rap records. WHERE THEY AT?

NYC has more than 20 memorable disses, the challenge would be finding 20 from each borough. We got 20 outta Compton at this point. There are probably 20 out of Detroit at this point. Atlanta is a possible... New Orleans is a possible.. Oakland has some legendary beefs... with all the rappers in Philly they should be coming up with more memorable disses.

You said Philly, lets see this list of 20 memorable disses:pachaha:

Of course you can make a top 20,but its like making a list of the top 500 rappers, after a certain number whats the point.....it aint 20 songs people remember and still talk about comimg out of no damn Philly,or each borough in NY either, maybe compton:myman:

And no,me remembering i heard it before doesnt make it memorble,it aint memorable if nobodys talked about that shyt since it first came out:stopitslime:..

if u from philly you my hold those 20 close to heart, but trust me nobody else does.

lol @ a guy that has no clue what hes talking about, telling me to "put up or shut up". I can tell some of yall don't be around real niccas in real life.

look at the questions youre asking like the bolded. just admit you have no clue what youre talking about. then maybe we can go from there.

you started off dumb, saying that philly lacks bars, when in reality philly is the city with the most or 2nd most ghostwriters.

lol. you didn't even follow the whole battle.

young gunz & pooda brown washed the game & cyssero.

and game got caught with blatant ghostwritten rhymes, hoppin on the track with his ghostwriter.

youre so far out the loop.

Nah. When Drake mentioned AB. He was all happy on social media and actin like he was bout to be in OVO or some shyt. I remember clearly. He didn't flat out rep Drake but he damn sure added fuel to the fire.

Why wouldn't someone be happy the biggest rap artist in the world gave him a buzz when a nikka from your own city who you was cool with didn't even do it. fukk meek

It was all Meeks fault,he got salty and jumped off the bridge saying fukk AB and AB responded point blank.

Your post pretty much outlines the Philly rap scene. Y'all look at it one way, the rest of the world sees it totally differently. That shyt you're talking about doesn't stick, especially when y'all are coming at people outside of Philly. Y'all be talking about what happened on another dude's block in a way that only Philly dudes get. But Nas said "In '86 you was getting chased from your building, calling my crib and I ain't even give you my numbers, what I did is give you a style that you can run with" it just hits harder because it wasn't just "you got chumped on your block". Nas was trying to break Jay down completely.

When I listen to old Cassidy disses he says ALOT of slick shyt, but it just doesn't hit you in the gut. You kinda forget about it afterwards. But Beans gives you the feel. He really sat down and broke down all of his issues with Jay. He could have wrote a letter saying those same things, but he put it together in rhyme form over a beat. That's a different type of talent, we just don't hear that type of depth from Philly lyricists. When he went at Jada it was bar after bar after bar of good lines, no cutesy flow shyt.

I like Ab & Dark, but they've never broken anyone down with a diss record. This Quilly shyt was nice, but I won't go back to it. What did he say about Game that stuck with me? Nothing. People from outside of Philly play Gillie's slick talking blogs more than his diss records.

Damn I don't even want to say it..... but fukk it... a comedian had one of the most memorable diss records out of Philly. And there's thousands of Philly dudes who have recorded diss records that rap way better than dude. That should tell you something.
Can you name 20 diss records out of Philly that are better? Nyggas wanna flow and mean mug, but that can only take you so far.

I remember when Ness thought he could get a buzz off Wayne after Wayne said Jae Millz washed him.

SMH Young Chris has one of the dopest flows in rap, but nah. Ain't nobody hearing that tough talk from him, fukk outta here. And I ain't disputing Cys was helping Game either, but these raps just ain't memorable. Chris even went to a cutesy Philly flow in the 2nd verse but it didn't fit the beat :russ:.

Barely 10k views on this shyt you're yapping about... THIS IS MEMORABLE? MEMORABLE TO WHO? A COUPLE THOUSAND PHILLY NYGGAS, THAT'S IT

The reason he said fukk AB is cause he felt AB was cosignin Drake. But either way. I'm not here to defend Meek cause I criticized him myself during that time frame.
