#4. Females are pulled out of school extremely early because it's not seen as meaningful to educate girl children
#5. Girls are married off as early as 11 or 12, often to men up to 40 years older than them

Isn't it possible that you got the order backwards though? As in perhaps if women's rights, human rights in general, and social equality were pursued more actively, that could help improve the social and support structures in those nations.

Rape and child molestation are still highly under-reported crimes even in countries like USA and SA which have a very high reported rate of the same. No sane person supports the manner in which the morality in Arab society is enforced, but that's their own problem to solve in due time and modify it as well. Just as it is in countries that don't acknowledge gay rights, once the society reaches a certain level of economic and political maturity, these things just come about, it can't be forced. As long as the gvts. in collaboration with their foreign allies continue to economically impoverish their own countries, the people's worldview can't change regarding tribalism, women's rights, gay rights, marriage laws etc.

For a people whose economic mobility is limited, social view points rarely change. What are women's rights and gay rights to a person when they themselves can hardly get a job? To see other's oppression in your own suffering is difficult. What human rights does a pickpocket have when I'm broke as well? When we catch him we"ll lynch him. This is how people think. Even in western societies, a lot of women rights were granted at a period that the countries were rapidly industrialising and creating wealth. Otherwise, women were heavily restricted and seen as their husband's property.
