Fenway Park is near a heavily populated area, but its not really downtown. But, you get that downtown feel walking in and around the park.
Fenway's not really downtown but that shyt on BU's campus. With all the shyt they've added that shyt is right by the real fancy downtown shyt.

Lived in quite a few baseball cities and Cincinnati' s Great American Ballpark takes the cake.

Downtown Cincy is always live when the Reds play. It creates a whole nother atmosphere especially on opening day. The bars are live and everybody walking around with Reds gear. (Same with Bengals which has their stadium just down the street)

I Don't understand how a city can NOT put the stadium in the center of a city. Like I was pissed when I went to a game in Dallas. Took forever to drive out to Arlington. And when I lived in NY it was always out the way to go to a yanks and ESPECIALLY a Mets game.

Any city with ALL their sports stadiums downtown or close to it is doing it right.

Went out to Cincy and Pittsburgh last year....both stadiums and the locale and atmosphere around the stadiums were better than anywhere I have been before.

Of course the ATL
ATL is a terribly run city tbh. They really need to get their heads out of their asses and do some real city development because as it is, that area of the city is decaying real fast....and the city can't feasibly raise enough money to expand infrastructure AND if they did do it...it would make traffic in the area worse than it already is. Its a real fukked up situation.

There has been significant city development throughout the city (West Midtown, Atlantic Station, Midtown, downtown) in addition to all the federally public housing in the city being torn down. While I do agree with you that there has been little to no real development in the Summer Hill-Peoplestown-Mechanicsville-Pittsburg communities, I don't agree that Atlanta is a terribly run city or that the city can't raise money to help build up certain parts of town. If you read the article I linked about a rail line to connect Turner Field to the city, that rail line could help create businesses, mixed use development, retail business, apartments, etc. The rail line could also help with traffic instead of the clusterfukk that currently exists down there before & after Braves home games

Ya i'm saying though in that particular area. ATL is a little unique in that there are multiple downtown areas in the overall city that aren't really connected by anything but highway. Exactly like those areas you mentioned....its a big sprawl. Years ago, they should have been thinking of better ways to connect all these areas....but they never thought that the city would get this big or have that much traffic with people coming from all over outside the perimeter plus the flight back into the city, or else they would have done a lot differntly. As it is now, any attempt to remedy the situation will lead to even bigger problems before the problem is solved.

I think downtown, midtown & Buckhead all connect pretty seamlessly (shyt just take a ride on Peachtree). You can take the highway for convenience sake, but you can get around inner city streets just fine. The Atlanta Beltline will help solve traffic in the city once it's completed & will hopefully help with traffic at Braves, Falcons & big college football games at the Dome

We'll see, because as it is...during Braves games...it takes me 20 minutes sometimes just to get from GSU to the fukking highway 1 mile away. Don't even get me started on traffic after International on 75 in the morning :noah:

I was at a Braves game a couple months ago for a day game...I was in traffic for literally 1 hour trying to get home. :noah: Traffic in that area is a disaster on game days

I finally got to go to Camden this past weekend, and Camden Yards is fukking perfect. In the heart of downtown Baltimore, you're right by hotels and waterfront. The bars are across the street and live as fukk. The orioles are playing good ball this year so it was packed, and the sox were in town so the boston contingent was heavy :beli: but not as bad as its been in the past. Game is live, Camden Yards is beautiful and I'm sure you can kill a whole day chilling right by the ballpark

shyt was my first game and I was :blessed:. It was nice to see a ball game live for the first time, I'll def go back if we make the playoffs, and I'll probably catch a couple nats game tho i root against em :scusthov:

It's strange cause Baltimore did everything right, M&T and Camden are right by each other. Fed Ex is all the way in Landover MD, and a decent fukking walk from the last stop on the metro closest to landover.

Verizon has a great location, only if we were better :snoop: With so many fans in DC and VA, the old RFK was probably a much better location but the stadium was :ehh: on a good day
