Not Kauffman. It's out in the (almost) wasteland.

The area is dead before the game and again shortly thereafter.

to the point though, it always should be and more baseball stadiums are than aren't from what I've seen. this is something NBA has PRETTY backward...both the pricing and accessibility...41 homegames vs. 82 shouldn't change the prices that much.
That difference is games is gonna change prices A LOT, especially when you consider baseball stadiums carry twice the capacity. Twice the games and people = half the price, if not more.

Montgomery, Alabama
Well, Montgomery Biscuits play downtown but you asked MLB so they closest MLB team to here is Atlanta, and Turner Field is downtown I think.

Nah it's about 5-10 minutes south of downtown near the highway I-75/I-85 & in the hood

In St. Louis it is. You can walk from the Arch to the stadium, hotels all around and whenever they finish Ballpark Village it should really make it more exciting. The Blues and Rams aren't far either, everything is minutes away.

Downtown = anything south of Harlem pretty much
It's not worth describing any part of Manhattan as downtown. That's too confusing for obvious reasons. Downtown is whatever is south of midtown, which is Lower Manhattan. That's just way too much real estate. You have to be more specific, like Battery, Tribeca, Chinatown, World Trade Center.

Oh, the Pittsburgh Pirates don't play downtown. But it's nearby, across the Allegheny River.

It's not in Philly

They tried to do it when it was being built but couldn't decide on a location that residents would agree to. Yes we have residents downtown & nearby

I don't live in Philly anymore but it's a good thing they didn't do this although I wish they could have being at the bank during the Phillies hay day was awesome

Traffic would have been a friggin nightmare
Traffic isn't exactly nice around the stadiums in South Philly (where I live). But I just can't imagine how awful it would've been in Center City.
It made sense that they put it there because most baseball fans live in the white suburbs (I-95 is nearby).
