And we are in the minority. Just because we won’t do it doesn’t mean the majority of people won’t.

Remember this is also including salons and women been doing this shyt forever. Most hair stylists only get a chair or a booth in a salon to get clients and once they have a nice clientele they bounce and do that shyt from the crib, simply put it’s just cheaper.

Barbershops and Hair salons are going to be extinct soon because when the rent goes up the owner has to charge a higher booth rent and then the barber or stylist has to charge more for their services.

There is a hair salon van parked about a mile from me. From time to time I pass by and someones hair is getting done. My aunt is the only woman in the family that goes out and gets her hair done and her stylist went from a shop to working out of a salon she made in her home. Quite a few stylists went to working from home during the Covid lock down and never went back to paying for space in a shop. A few local in house Barbers also gained clientele and are still hustling to this day.

Barbers are making enough independently to not need to pay for a chair at a shop anymore.

It’s about an evolution in the way barbers do business

My two boys and I are 80 total. We go way back though.

I get my hair cut and my boys grow their hair out and mostly get tapers and lineups. It's over $1 a minute if I'm being honest and I'm consistent.

Yep then they be wondering why you got two barbers. One to do the cut and the other to do the lineup or beard. Eventually two turns to one when the other guy learns your head
