Are CD's a dead format for 2015 and beyond ?

i'll buy a cd off a person on tour or something but i'm not buying no more cds

i still like the format though. i like the book and having it physically there. its just not as convenient anymore.

Honestly within 5 years I can see albums being sold like Walmart Pre-Order movies with the sealed paper insets like this:

Instead of cds in the cd isle there will be paper inset tickets that you take to the cashier and once she scans the ticket and you pay the ticket will be activated and you will have to go home and use the code inside the ticket to download the album on your computer.

Well that and streaming services like Spotify, Pandora, Google Plus, Tidal and etc will be the future :manny:

i rather own a cd of music i like instead of buying it on streaming. on top of that i haven't bought an album since 2011 which was Big Pun's Capital Punishment.
