Are Consoles becoming outdated

PC's graphics cards get more powerful like every 2 years, Consoles can't keep up but that doesn't mean they're outdated.

Graphics matter yea but gameplay is the most important and sitting on a PC playing by yourself with the most amazing graphics can't compare to sitting on the couch with a controller playing with other people

whens the last time you sat on a couch playing with other people? Most people console set up are in their rooms so they can play by themselves

I am and a $400-$500 built gaming PC can run most games after tweaking at 1080P60 with medium settings. Which is what the PS4/XBOX ONE generally aim for.

the console idiots on here hold PC gaming to some absurd standard where they dont understand on PC we can adjust settings. They think you need $2000 PCs and only play games on Ultra settings. When the average PC user has a $500 or so PC and plays on medium settings.

that's the thing you guys assume the average gamer will care about that. Saying that's a consequence is silly because on console you just play the game. On PC you gotta tweak shyt most of the time. And again what specific game are you talking about? Every game is different.

Give me a $400 spec machine that's the same as an xbox one internally that can run rise of the tomb one raider at the same settings at 60fps consistently.

Doesn't matter what the specs are. It's the price that matters and a $400 build outperforms the XBOX One easily.

You guys are in a bubble. You think people in real life are buying ps4/xb1 to go do benchmarks. Most people aren't buying PS4 to go compare it's performance to the same game on a $400 PC. I certainly don't. I only compare apples and apples. I certainly don't understand the mentality of these arguments.

No, I don't remember that. You got the receipts? This "you guys said this" hearsay isn't proof. I'm sure no serious person thought that. Even before I was deep into PC building I thought it was common sense to know PC is better than consoles hardware wise.

I knew cats were joking about the 8GB GDDR5 thing but other than that I fully knew ps4/larrybox wasn't holding a candle to a built PC. I play consoles for exclusives and some MP games and sometimes for the occasional PC fukkup port(watchdogs, Batman etc.)

Fact is until the average gamer becomes interested enough to try to get into all that goes with PC gaming, consoles will always be popular.. most people don't have the time or energy or interest to figure out how PC's are built or how to buy one with the right specs... Consoles are still easier to deal

Are consoles outdated? Of course they are. When asking the question you deserve the best and generally harshest answer. The answer is yes, consoles are ALWAYS outdated. Especially now when you consider that you are actually paying a PREMIUM to be ignorant or lazy. It is very very tough to recommend a console to people these days over a PC. Yeah the PC has it's headaches, but its worth the small issues IMO in order to game better.
