One on one, there isn't an animal alive that could handle a human being that's hellbent on spilling blood. With the proper amount of adrenaline, no weapons needed, either.

Some of you don't know how adaptive we are. You mention how out of shape and lazy we are.

If the lights go out and society breaks down yeah there's a percentage that will perish immediately. But the survivors will revert to a level of savagery we thought forgotten.

That level of savagery would be a sight to see.

In Da 15th
Case in point, the video of Indian villagers clubbing a bear to death with sticks.

People used to successfully hunt and kill dozens of Wooly Mammoths at a time.

People just generally underestimate the level of savagery humans can exhibit when it comes to survival instinct. Comfort/sophistication induced by our civilisation has a role to play in that.

There are still cannibals out there who eat people who look like them. Most predators in the animal kingdom don’t do that.

Even in everyday life - the level of violence amongst people with a bit of discomfort is a good pointer. And the disproportionate level of savagery amongst impoverished people is another pointer. Now imagine how humans would react in the wild with extreme level of discomfort for survival?

We’re the apex mammals and apex predators. It’s not even close.

Not all of us. I got hoed by a spider one time. Had me scared to sleep in my own room for couple days.
