Not really. I paid a grand for my 13 inch in 2011..and wasnt many comparable aluminum body laptops for less money
Some of the higher models definitely are though

12 hrs of what tho ? standby or word processing ?

the battery power comes at expense of shytty processor designed to save power

try to do anything cpu-intensive on that thing and see how long it lasts then
