his career is forgettable after such promise

gun to your head, name 3 iconic ON COURT Ja moments that don't include dunks

he couldn't even do a dunk contest which is an automatic career highlight :dead:

This is disingenuous, the next exciting athletic guard with highlights and no jumper will get the same praise (for 3 years) .

Every generation gets one it's canon. And no they never turn out to be shyt but their fans are going to be young and ignore this advice

Ja will be forgotten. drose had an MVP season, played for a big market and was going toe to toe with Bron. Ja’s already getting forgotten and left behind as an active player so how will that hold on after he leaves? Most of those casual Ja fans just jumped on the Ant bandwagon. Ja is not even close to being a generational PG that’s revered.

Ja is turning into a major disappointment but we witnessed maybe his most memorable play against the Lakers. :francis:

While Ja has his limitations as a player and hasn’t gotten any better (or stronger) since he came into the league, you can’t coach NBA guys as if you’re in Europe.

It doesn’t work culture wise or style wise for obvious reasons (players are more talented here, more entitled, and they’re used to playing the minutes they want).

Memphis will be at a crossroads soon enough with the head coach and Ja, and we know star players usually win that battle. However, I’d trade him for a few firsts because he’s not taking that team anywhere no matter who the coach is.

He can’t shoot, he’s frail, and doesn’t play any defense. Trade him :manny:

What keeps him alive is his highlight potential and his shoes. He probably has the most popular hooping shoe out right now by far.

Toe to toe with LeBron is such an overstatement

nikka is cooked. Nike really gave him his own signature shoe too smh :mjlol:

Nike has been on a STRING OF L’s when it comes to signature Basketball shoes.

They cut Kyrie

Gave weak ass Paul Georges a signature line

Giannis is meh

They fumbled Steph possibly the biggest L they have had in the 2010s.

KD doesn’t move units like that, LeBron doesn’t move units like that…

I just copped myself a pair of the Hustle and Flow's yesterday, lol. Dopest ball shoe on the market right now.

Thing is, Ja is only in his sixth season, and has never really been on a true contender, or had a competent coach. He needs to get out of Memphis and on a squad with vet leadership, and a supporting cast that he can mesh with and not be expected to lead. That's not who he is. Dude has generational talent. But as anyone who knows ball knows, he needs to be surrounded with a certain type of group to flourish. I'm sure it'll happen when he gets outta there.
