Are NBA defenders just retarded when it comes to this dude Steph?

Clippers were doing an amazing job on him all night, then in the 4th, when he would come around those on-ball screens to pull up, DeAndre wouldn't close out hard on him...he would treat him like he's some regular shooter and not Steph Curry. :dwillhuh:

You want the blueprints on how to clamp that nikka you saw it in the first 3 quarters last night and in the most recent Finals. You give him no air space and pretty much put him on an island and everyone else plays 4 on 4. If he comes around an on-ball screen you hedge hard and don't let him pull up. And even when LAC had the formula down they completely went away from it after. SMH this is why these phaggots CP and Blake are never winning shyt.:mjlol:

Yeah Steph is the kind of guard you have to physically annoy but even then his dribbling is so good that he's good at getting himself out of most situations. But as a center he had no business covering Curry anyway.

CP3 looked so hurt when they lost to GS. Like to him the playoffs already over and he going home. :mjlol:

They never covered him well the entire game. They abused that CP3/DJ switch the entire game

The 1st quarter he missed because he picked up 2 fouls in the first 3 minutes of the game.

He dropped 16 in the 2nd and the game was on the verge of a blowout.

They gave him a 5 minute rest in the 3rd/4th and thats when the Clippers had their lead.

I'm pretty sure dude was like 4-12 shooting going into the 4th quarter. Austin Rivers was giving him that work. He's getting superstar treatment now and is regularly shooting 8+ FTs a game but I'd say they did a great job.

What are you talking about? The only reason he didn't score 40/45 last night is he missed some wide open shots. And in the Finals, he averaged what, 27 a game, and that was with one pretty bad game? THAT'S the blueprint to defending him?

No. There is no blueprint, because we've never seen a player quite like him before. Deandre had one really bad hedge on him when he lagged back and Curry splashed, but he switched up on him in the 4th, and tried his best to defend him, but Curry dribbled him backwards a step or 2 then hit him with a step-back 3 and that was that. The problem is Curry can hit from just about anywhere, and most players have it in their head to give up a shot from a bit past the 3pt line, and that's just not acceptable anymore with Steph.

He's gonna get plenty of open looks. His handles and relentless off ball movement (and GSW's great ball movement) guarantees it. You just gotta hope he misses shots.

Hard to stop Curry because he can shoot and put the ball on the floor. The warriors also have great spacing and play small ball so you have 4 other shooters on the floor at all times

Add to the fact moving screens are allowed and you can't touch wing players creates a deadly mix.

The key is to play him tight and chase him off the line. Then go at him on the offensive end and make his ass run through countless picks to wear him out.

The cavs in the finals ran him through a pick and roll every time on the offensive end. But they were short of folks in the end. All of this won't stop him but it will slow him down a little and will add up over a 7 game series.

That is why I want to see how they play the Spurs in the playoffs. Because he either is gonna guard Parker or green. He guards green they gonna run his ass through picks. He guards lenoard they are gonna post his ass up.
