I agree with the bulk of your thread

but imo talents like Trent's dont come around every draft, barring injuries, in 2-3 years I don't see how he's not the best back in the league

I guess what I'm saying is in some cases it can be worth it

:leon: I really hope so. But Lesean gon keep it locked. :obama:

shyt...I honestly thought that Arian Foster was gonna be another 1 or 2 year hit...then fall off like aa lot of the RB rentals but i picked him 3rd in my league and have been :eat: To think how badly i wanted Lesean with Andy Reids bytch ass

Basically. Which reminds me of Deuce McCallister, another 1st rounder back in the day. Seems like back then every team made sure to have a great RB.

Now you have SB teams just taking their 3rd depth chart options and throwing them in there like James Starks.

shyt yall Remember Samkon Gado? :skip:

And shame on me for not putting Tomlinson in the first post

It might be that the league has leaned heavily toward passing offenses and single backs just arent getting the carries they used to.

NFL announcers are always saying even though running in the first quarter might only get you a few yards, running consistently will eventually yield you the yards later in the game and those longer runs.

Lookin back I appreciate Curtis even more with the amount of carries and the ability to stay healthy every year even Eddie (400 carry season)

I'm still gonna hold out on Ingram.

I think on another team, he'd be better. What team? I dunno...but the Saints aren't a team conducive to good RB's.

Lattimore may be good in the NFL....but to me, the spread offense in cfb has increased while great RB's have decreased. That's probably not a coincidence.

Barrign injury, Foster will be around. He wasn't even drafted.

So I dont think he'll be a fluke at all. Reminds me of Priest Holmes

Fair enough. I still feel the same way about Bush.

As for Foster I was always surprised that he wasnt drafted earlier. Had no clue he was undrafted though :ohhh: I thought the nikka was a 3rd rounder. I knew that Jamaal Charles was a beast though.

shyt this year I think that with Lattimore being the first RB taken, he may not end up being better than John Franklin. Then again the Pac-12 is suspect. We'll see though.

whats yall outlook for next years Senior and Junior RBs?

SMH at Dyer and Seastrunk :wow: They should be right up there with Lattimore

Lattimore is going 1st round breh.

Do you think he is worth a 1st rd pick? I dont know ......havent watched enough of his career, clowney looks like a beast and Im pretty sure hes got to come back for another year.....but i think what this thread is getting at......Can or maybe the better question is will lattimore be that elite back or is it better off using it on another position but the NFL draft is so fukking crazy and you have busts at every position (see Robert Gallery cant miss status) so who the fukk really knows:mindblown:

How much at the lower levels like hs and college are o-line play important for an elite rb prospect...i would say not very much at hs level, the elite rb is just playin on another planet.....college oline play deceives rb value with opening big holes that are just not there at pro level.....pro level there really is no holes, its like wack-a-mole where shyt is just poppin open and it takes that special quick decision making and agility that very few backs have

Well, S. Carolina throws a little more now I think so I don't think he gets the ball as much, which is good considering his injury last year........but if there had to be a back picked in the 1st round, i think it's him. :ld:

Maybe a team that NEEDS a RB could draft him mid-late 1st rd. They ran him in the ground though his first year. I hope he's still got alot left.

He would have gone Top 3, if not for the ACL.

His Vision, Patience all next level.

Spurrier was running him down to the ground, against 10 in the box.

Lattimore is going 1st round breh.

Somebody might take him late 1st, and he'll be the only one to even sniff the first round.

Like I said, if I'm a GM i'm not taking any RB first round, unless he's going to be an obvious gamebreaker like Adrian Peterson. Its a passing league now, and most RB's have short careers. The value's just not there when you look at how many late round picks and undrafted running backs are doing big things

CJ Spiller was drafted ninth and is a legitimate franchise RB so it really depends on a player's individual talent relative to where he is taken in the draft.
